From Trauma to Triumph: What My Horse Taught Me About Healing, Resonance, and Our Deep Connection
By Gail Lynn and Holly (the horse) – February 18, 2026
Last night, my beloved horse, Holly, faced a terrifying ordeal. What started as a severe eye irritation quickly escalated into a deeply distressing experience that shook us both. This journey, however, became a profound lesson in listening, trusting, and the incredible power of resonance—not just for our animals, but for ourselves.

The Crisis: When “Help” Causes Harm
Holly developed severe inflammation in her left eye—the side often associated with the feminine, intuition, and how we “receive” from the world. Concerned, I called the emergency vet clinic since it was after hours for her primary care vet. What followed was a series of events that left us both traumatized.
Despite their best intentions, their efforts seemed to cause more harm than good. Holly was sedated multiple times, they had several issues with their equipment, and her delicate eye tissue was repeatedly probed. By the time they left, her eye was so inflamed and irritated that the tissue protruded, preventing her from even closing her eye. The vets admitted they had no idea what was wrong, leaving us in a state of shock and despair.
In that moment of profound helplessness, I realized that conventional interventions, while sometimes necessary, can also become a source of immense trauma if they are not aligned with the animal’s energetic needs.
The Turning Point: Trusting Intuition and Resonance
Thankfully, my dear friend Lisa, a retired vet, helped me navigate the initial emotional fallout. But the real shift came when I put Holly’s photo into the Harmonic Egg®. I used Blue light on the top and bottom for reducing inflammation and used the consciously created music selection entitled Reduce Inflammation.
After just one session, this photo was from this morning (9 hours after the vet left) in the Harmonic Egg®, Holly was an incredible 60% better this morning. This dramatic improvement was a powerful affirmation: when we remove the physical and emotional stressors and provide the body with the right resonant frequencies, its innate ability to heal is truly astonishing.
I cancelled the follow-up vet appointment for today, knowing in my heart that what Holly needed now was gentle, energetic support, not more invasive procedures.

Animals as Mirrors: Taking On Our Stuff
This experience also brought into sharp focus a critical lesson: our animals are incredibly sensitive beings who often mirror our own internal states and even absorb our trauma.
Holly’s left eye—the “receiving” side—became a literal manifestation of overwhelming external forces and perhaps even my own underlying anxieties. When we, as owners, are stressed, fearful, or experiencing our own unprocessed emotions, our animals can pick up on this and manifest it in their own bodies. They are often trying to tell us something, or even protect us by taking on our “stuff.”
The inflammation, in a way, was her body’s desperate attempt to say “Stop! I cannot receive any more of this overwhelming energy.” My subsequent fear and frustration over the vet’s actions only added to the energetic burden.
Listening to the Animal Kingdom: Our Collective Responsibility
This journey with Holly underscored the vital importance of deeply listening to our animal companions. They are not just pets; they are sentient beings with their own energetic fields, emotional lives, and profound wisdom.
To truly support them, we must:
- Listen to their subtle cues: Before physical symptoms manifest, our animals often give us signals. Learning their language helps us intervene with gentleness and intuition.
- Trust our own intuition: When conventional approaches fall short or cause distress, it’s a call to look deeper and consider alternative, complementary therapies that work with the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
- Work on ourselves: This is perhaps the most crucial lesson. By acknowledging and processing our own stresses, fears, and unresolved emotions, we prevent our animals from needing to carry that burden for us. A calm, balanced owner fosters a calm, balanced animal. I can honestly say, Holly is 30 years old and has had VERY few vet visits. I can also admit that I have been distracted for a few weeks trying to figure out where my business is going and how to move to the next phase in this year of the HORSE and a new beginning. I was just outside with Holly, reading to her and being present with her and for her.
The Power of Sound and Light: Intentional Application
For those of us working with sound and light therapy, whether through a Harmonic Egg® or other modalities, Holly’s story offers specific insights:
- Inflammation is “Heat”: When dealing with inflammation, which is energetically “hot” and reactive, we aim for cooling and soothing frequencies and colors. This means we do not use red light, which can add heat and potentially exacerbate inflammation. Instead, we turn to the cooling spectrum of blues, turquoises, and greens to calm the system and promote healing.
- Heavy Energy Needs Gentle Release: For heavy, stagnant energy and intense inflammation, we avoid heavy percussion or low, vibrating bass frequencies, which can sometimes overwhelm or intensify the discomfort. Instead, we opt for higher, lighter frequencies or gentle, harmonious music from instruments like flutes or pianos. These frequencies help to gently “clear” the stagnant energy and restore balance.
Holly’s recovery in just 9 hours is a testament to her incredible spirit and the power of energetic healing. It’s also a powerful reminder that our connection to the animal kingdom is a sacred trust. By listening deeply, trusting our intuition, and committing to our own energetic well-being, we can ensure our beloved companions thrive, free from the burden of carrying our “stuff,” and guided by the resonant harmony of true healing.
