Unlocking the Secrets of Smart Supplementation: Are Your Supplements Really Working for You?

In the dizzying world of health and wellness, it’s all too easy to fall into the trap of over-supplementation. Everywhere you turn, someone is touting the benefits of this pill, powder or that tincture, promising to unlock the secret to optimal health. But are we really doing our bodies a favor by bombarding them with a cocktail of supplements?

Let’s take a step back and delve into the truth behind supplementation. Sure, popping a pill might seem like a quick fix, but do you truly understand why you’re taking it? Are you aware of the intricate dance your body performs to process these supplements, or are you simply adding to the burden it already carries?

Consider this: just as you wouldn’t try to juggle five different tasks simultaneously, expecting to excel at each one, your body struggles to process a multitude of supplements all at once. It’s like a chaotic symphony where each instrument is vying for attention, leaving your body overwhelmed and confused.

But it’s not just about quantity; quality matters too. Do you know the difference between magnesium citrate, glycinate, and thionate? Are you aware of the fillers and heavy metals lurking in some supplements, sabotaging your efforts towards better health?

And what about probiotics? If you’re an O blood type with high stomach acid, chances are those probiotics you’re diligently taking are being annihilated by the acid before they even reach their intended destination—the colon. It’s like sending a message in a bottle, only to watch it sink before it reaches shore.

At the end of the day, supplements are processed and have the energy of the company and the people that handle them.  Everything is energy.  The cofactors just aren’t there like real food.  I could go off on a tangent here about food in the stores, but I won’t.  If you can grow microgreens, or have a small garden you nurture and get nutrition from that would be such a treat for your body.  Your energy will be in them and your love and have amazing nutrients and the energy our bodies need.  The foods picked early to ripen in a truck or on the shelves, under fluorescent lights, in a store with all the people touching them and leaving their energy in them aren’t that amazing.

So before you reach for that next bottle of supplements, ask yourself: do you truly understand how they work? Who’s telling you to take them, and why? Are your supplements absorbing, or are they just expensive urine?

It’s time to shift our perspective on supplementation from blind adherence to informed choice. Let’s tune into our bodies, listen to their needs, and provide them with the support they truly require. After all, isn’t that what optimal health is all about?
